At the end of a long day, your body deserves some rest to help you wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the next day. However, many times you go to bed feeling exhausted, only to wake up as if you didn’t sleep at all.

The key is not just getting more sleep; it’s about creating a night routine that allows your body to rest, reset, and recharge. So, Let’s build your perfect night routine together.

  1. Power down the chaos

Stop scrolling through your phone like it’s a bedtime story. The blue light messes with your melatonin (a.k.a. your sleep hormone) and makes it hard for you to sleep early. Instead, turn off your screens 1 hour before bedtime. Try reading, stretching, journaling, or simply staring at your ceiling while daydreaming.

  • Warm up, wind down

A warm bath or quick shower can do wonders. It relaxes your muscles and signals your body that the day is done. You can spray your favourite relaxing scent- Lavender, vanilla, or something fruity to help you smell and feel fresh.

  • Get comfy

You are free to wear whatever you want to bed but you may want to consider wearing soft, breathable fabrics. You can wear cotton pyjamas, loose T-shirts, Satin or silk sets or wear your birth suit.

  • Set the mood

Your bedroom should feel like a cozy cave – cool, dark, and quiet. Dim the lights, turn on a fan or AC, maybe even play some soft beats or calming nature sounds to help you relax.

  • Do a brain dump.

Before you sleep, take 5 minutes to dump any lingering thoughts, worries, or to-dos into a notebook or your Notes app. This simple practice clears your mind and shifts your focus from stress to peace.

  • Sip, don’t snack

Heavy meals or late-night snacks can mess with your digestion and sleep. But a calming drink is a big yes! Try a warm chamomile tea, Golden milk (turmeric + milk), Or just plain warm water.

  • Pray

Whether you’re deeply spiritual or just believe in positive energy, taking a moment to pray or reflect before sleep can be powerful. It keeps the dark forces away, clears out anxious thoughts, and reminds you that you’re protected and at peace. Test this routine out for a week and notice how much lighter and happier your mornings feel.
