In commemoration of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, Keystone Bank Limited organized a special empowerment programme in collaboration with the Jigawa state Ministry of Women Affairs under the pink account initiative on Wednesday March 25, 2026. During the empowerment program in Jigawa state, 500 women were selected across the 20 local governments of the state. The beneficiaries were trained on 5 skills acquisitions program and a financial support of N25,000 was given to each beneficiary to start-up business on the skill they acquired. Participants were also onboarded on the pink account product where the financial support was credited. In attendance were the MD of the bank represented by the Executive Director, North and public sector, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Bello, the Governor of Jigawa state Alhaji Umar Namadi represented by the Head of Service Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri and the Commissioner for women affairs Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab.
